Year of WIPs, or YoW, is a Facebook phenomenon that is the brainchild of Melanie Watkins (check our her Flosstube) and is managed from the group Soulful Stitching on Facebook.
The premise is that you chose x number of WIPs each year--x must be greater than 18 to be eligible for prizes--and you vow to finish as many of them as you can. The idea is to finish all of them. But the minimum to be prize eligible is half.
I made big goals in 2018 and didn't even come close. I swore that I would make smaller goals in 2019. But who was I kidding?! They're BIGGER goals!!
So, I originally chose 32 WIPs to finish this year. I KNOW!! I know... but also remember that I'm not starting anything in 2019. So it's doable, right? Right.
Here they are, the first 32... (Yep, I said FIRST 32, just wait.... Melanie threw a curve)

AND THEN!! And then. Melanie threw out the Year of WIPs EXTREME challenge. Before I even knew the rules I had said, "hold my qSnap..."
The challenge was to add as many WIPs to our list as the number of our birthday. So, March 10 gets me 10 more WIPs. Challenge accepted Melanie, here are the additional 10:

8. Roses Embroidery by Gera:
9. Gobble Gob by Plum Street Samplers:
10. PSL They're Here by The Witchy Stitcher:
Let's see what I can do. We're allowed to change out WIPs in June and I think I'll probably be changing out all of my HAEDs for more pages on Josephine (Contessa with Squid) since I'm going to be working on her every single day this year.
I've finished 9/41 WIPs so far. Only another 12 to go. 0_0
Yay, I like it, it's cool to see it all in one place
